Less than 1" x 1". This metal non-magnetic tag was worn or carried on the person for identification purposes. If the person insured was unconscious the number on the tag could be telegraphed to the Loyal Insurance company in Boston. That company would then ID the person. Based on the address and the style, this may be one of the oldest of these tags out there. The tag does have one slight defect in that it has been crimped or bent at some point in the very edge. This tag is old. It has patina. It is faded. It has discoloration. And it has many scratches. It is being sold in as is condition.
