This item is from a large collection from a professional German dog handler who participated in competitions from the late 1960's through the 1980's. Up for sale is a rare and stunning vintage German gold award/medal from the Internationale Hunde-Ausstellung in Luzern, Germany. This gold medal/token measures just over 1 1/2 inches in and shows a stunning lion in relief with Latin text surrounding. Signed low right recto and verso "Huguenin" the artist is Andre Huguenin-Dumitran (1888 - 1975).
