It was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Shyamalan, Best Supporting Actor for Osment, and Best Supporting Actress for Collette. So what is a movie pressbook ( or movie pamphlet as it is known here in Japan ) actually?  It's basically a book ( usually 30-40 pages ) that contains the film’s synopsis and background, production photos, cast and crew information, and trivia like that. Available only during the film’s run at the cinema, pressbooks sell like hotcakes.
The idea is simple, but the execution is just brilliant; many of the books produced are so exquisitely pretty it's hard not to part with one’s money for a copy, especially if it's a film that you enjoyed.
