Description
For auction is a wonderful piece of hand blown art glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York. The item is a very hard to find 3 branch or prong vase. It is done in Frederick Carder's very not so commonly found Bristol Yellow style of art glass. The vase is a nice size as it stands 6 1/2" tall and is 3 3/4" in diameter at the base platform that the 2 stumps rise up from. The vase displays a very pleasing clear or translucent yellow base glass throughout. There are 3 cylindrical stumps that rise up from the round platform. There are thorns attached to the sides of each stump. The thorns are plentiful and surround each stump. The vase is solid and has good weight for its size.
This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. All of the thorns are there with no damage what so ever. There are a few scratches in the branches but noting too obtrusive. The piece is signed on the bottom inside the counter sunk polished pontil with the "Steuben" Fleur de Lis acid etched mark. A counter sunk polished pontil is the finishing mark of a quality piece of art glass.
This is a quality piece of Steuben art glass that is done in a not so commonly found color. You commonly find these in Blue and Gold Aurene but Bristol Yellow happens to be one of the rarest colors to find in this form. I'm sure the Steuben collector that purchases this vase will be extremely pleased. This is shape number 2744 as seen on the Steuben Club Website. This piece was made circa 1915-1933.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
merchandise
unless it is paid for.
They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.7% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.7%. This is an increase of 8.8% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.7% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
