About Stueben:
Steuben is an American fine glass and crystal brand, which makes high-quality decorative collectables.  The company was founded in 1903 in Corning,New York – which is in Steuben County – and Corning Incorporated acquired the brand in 1918.
Handmade by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY, it was frequently gifted to foreign dignitaries by the United States.  Steuben marketed no "seconds."  Items that did not meet their exacting standards were destroyed. The unique etching signifies authenticity.  Steuben is a recognized luxury brand and the ultimate in art glass.  It is still manufactured today.
The seller used to live in Upstate New York and would travel to Corning on an annual basis to visit its many glass studios.  The seller has an extensive art glass collection and is downsizing his home.  Non-smoking, not-pet household.
Condition:  This bowl is from the seller's collection. The condition is very good with minimal vintage wear, commensurate with age.  It measures approx. 7" in diameter by 3.5" high with the weight and clarity that Steuben is known for.  It is fully signed Steuben in script on the base bottom edge. This is an original authentic made in USA at the Steuben factory in Corning NY piece.  Bowl was purchased new.  Exact purchase date is unknown but estimated to be late 70’s/early 80’s.  There are chips, cracks, or discernable flaws.  The base is solid and the bowl is stable.  The base is polished and very smooth.
