Item Description:
Rare Steuben Nouveau Organic Pigtail Celery Salt in Pulled Gold Aurene measuring 2.5" w x 1.5" t. Similar just sold from Shovers' collection (write-up below) for 0 showing lots of wear to the high points. This one in near pristine, perhaps unused, and condition is shown clearly, which is excellent+.

The technique on the salt is called pulled decoration. It is almost non existent in Steuben and is a true rarity. The decoration instead of being applied is pulled and hooked from the body of the piece. The glass is, of necessity, much thicker to permit it to be pulled with skewing the shape.
