Pendant
designed by Bernard X. Wolff, famous for many masterworks, including the beloved

. His works are represented in museums worldwide. Perfect for a special anniversary or birthday gift for your beloved in it's fine vintage red leather Steuben box.
The fascination with outer space continues. At the time of this design, forty years ago,
only twelve moons of Jupiter were known. But today we find seventy-nine moons and many smaller
moonlets!
This Steuben Moons of Jupiter Pendant is in
new in box
condition and has
no scratches, no damage, no nicks or chips, and no
display marks to the glass
. It is correctly marked with the Steuben "S" on the top edge of the crystal (the mark designed to be "there" but to be unobtrusive) just above the opening for the 14K gold ring bail.
This mouth blown thick circle of crystal
, is hand formed, cut and engraved on both sides with the known varying size moon shapes and then polished to gleam like a jewel. The glass circle is backed with a separate Sterling Silver disc also marked "S" for Steuben and "Sterling." Also includes it's 21" solid 14K gold snake chain.
This miniature artwork measures approx. 2.25" In diameter with the weight and clarity that Steuben was renown for. This will come packed in it's vintage velvet lined fitted red leather box in excellent gift worthy condition with no off odors or stains.
The price is fair for a very rare collectible Steuben "red box" masterwork.

Steuben Glass was the premier American glass company founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It ranked as the world's foremost artisan glass house. Hand formed by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY, it was frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no "seconds," items that did not meet their exacting standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben, a recognized luxury brand and the ultimate in art glass.
