in script.  At first glance this is similar to the mid century Lloyd Atkins whale, but it is about three times heavier and much larger overall.
This will be wrapped in it's fine Steuben bag and fine vintage box with care booklet. You will be thrilled with this work of glassmaking artistry.
This Whale sculpture is listed with a very fair price for a rarely found large perfect sculpture that is new in box.
Steuben Glass was the premier American glass company founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It ranked as the world's foremost artisan glass house. Steuben glass was handmade by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY.  It was frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no "seconds". Items that did not meet their exacting standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben is a luxury brand and the ultimate in art glass.
