Offered is this fine representation of the Imperial German Colony Togo Wappen. These type patches and insignia are very rare in original form. This is a reproduction. The Germans did have colonies at one time that were lost after the defeat of WWI. These colonies though not comparable to the British or French were important symbols of a unified Germanys desire to be a major playor in the world theatre and also used as a justification for the expansion of the Kaiserliche.
These patches are made with the finest bullion thread and hand embroidered.
The patch is not flat but raised showing great detail and quality.
