50 each  Homemade Fire Starter for Long Term                                                              Storage and Safety
We have been making these for a long time. We couldn't find
light weight, non-chemical based, safe, waterproof, durable, easy to lite, low weight, fire starter that was capable of long term storage that was not heat sensitive.  We have tried it all.
If
you ever dropped a ruck against something and had to clean up the Vaseline / chemical from some of these fire starters? Ever tried to light your world's best fire starter and it has dried up or leaked out?
These are OLD SCHOOL and they just work, period.
To lite, simply rough up the end, fluff the cotton up and add fire or spark. You can use a knife, rock, tree trunk, stick or whatever to remove a portion of wax from the end to fluff it up. They will light with a cheap Harbor Freight striker. The effective burn time is 5 - 6 minutes. At this burn rate, you can even cut them in smaller pieces for using in dry tinder. Th Why so many? So you get as many as possible out of the money you spend. You have enough to carry, store and practice with. I bought the material in bulk to reduce the price. If you find ANYTHING out there to buy better or at a lower price please let me know. Due to shipping costs I have to sell AS IS. I don't have a bunch but if they sell good I'll make more.
