Item Description: A set of 5 straight and 5 curved S gauge American Flyer track sections
Condition:
All "S" scale items are part of my father's childhood collection from the 1930's to the 1960's.   I do not have a working transformer or engine to test the track but the integrity looks very good, but I cannot guarantee the performance of the electronics. I chose to leave the track in it's current condition (did not clean off dust) to ensure I did not ruin any part of the set.

OLD SCHOOL? GARAGE SALE" E BAYER:
The items I list are pre-owned or used by me. I know eBay has evolved to an outlet for new retail sellers, offshore storefronts, distribution outlets and entrepreneurs who buy items at thrift stores to sell at a higher price on eBay. I list household items, that I no longer need. (many are new in sealed boxes).  I often reuse old boxes and packing material I have collected from other online purchases (Amazon).  I have a full-time office job, this is simply my way to clean out and declutter.
ITEMS FOR SALE:
Items being sold are mostly previously bought, owned and used by me or my family ONLY.  Please closely review the condition and photos.  I try and show as many photos as possible.
I will on occasion highlight details or defects with colored circles on photos to ensure you see the required details. (Not present on all photos).  99.9% of the items are one owner and 100% are from non-smoking clean households. (Think "Garage sale" not "store"). If you have any questions or concerns, PLEASE ASK I am glad to reply with answers or photos.
It is better for both of us for everyone to know exactly what they are bidding on, and what they will get.
SHIPPING TIMES:
My shipping lead times can be extended as there are occasions that I need to travel and may need a few days to return home before I can pack and ship.   Most of my shipments go out the Saturday after your payment
.   If you need something sooner, let me know.
Otherwise I will assume standard lead times.
Lately 2021 ? the USPS has been very unreliable. So, I now do my best to include a photo of the packed item and USPS label the day before or the day of shipment.
This serves three purposes a.) Evidence of shipment date and packaging prior to shipment, b.) Provide you and image of the USPS tracking number and label and c.) a heads up that on what the parcel will look like when it arrives.
INSPECTION AND TEST:
All items are inspected and tested prior to listing.
Then packed away securely until someone wins the listing. Once the bid is won and payment is made.
I recover the item from storage and retest, clean, disinfect and pack to ship.
Every once and while the item fails the retest (it has occurred twice in over twenty years of selling. If that occurs, I will contact you via eBay immediately and ask if you still want the item OR prefer a full refund.
PACKAGING:
I prefer to ship in priority mail flat rate padded envelopes and boxes.  Most small items I will ship in padded envelopes (Clothing and small household goods) larger items I opt for regional priority or flat rate box services ALL give you easy tracking tools and expedited delivery.    Strange shaped items may require a salvaged, repurposed or purchased box.  Priority mail ships to the US and US military posts only
LARGE ITEMS:
I have learned that large items can be very expensive to ship.  In fact, the process of determining the shipping costs can be onerous (finding huge boxes and weighting furniture is cumbersome) Therefore, I list very large items as "pick-up only" and most serious buyers have had good luck arranging for a national shipping company to pick up the item like ?iShip?.  Since shipping is very expensive, I usually only charge for the boxes I need to buy, packing material and postage.  When possible, I may provide rough dimensions and estimated the weight to help buyers determine shipping cost.
CONDITION:
I invest a lot of time describing, testing and taking pictures of items to be "upfront" with item quality and condition.  If you are unsure, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE TO CLARIFY.  I retest all items prior to shipping so that I am confident what I send out is in the described working order.  I only approve returns or credits if there is a huge error or oversight on my part, I will NOT take returns for minor issues.  You should buy at a price in accordance with described condition photographs.
