Powerful and imposing female Kifwebe mask from the SONGYE tribe from DR Congo. With stripe figurations in a reddish-brown and white kaolin. The closed eyes, the 2 birds on the head that extends into the nose and the prominent mouth are the typical SONGYE characteristics for these masks.
The mask can show age related signs of wear and tear, but is in a overall good condition. Have a good look at the pictures.
