    Each is numbered 33/500
    ) and initialed by the artist designer Eric Hilton.  Mr. Hilton designed almost all of the very rare 18k gold copper wheel hand engraved Steuben Jewelry pieces.  In addition he is famous for the masterpiece
    Innerland
    which is in a revered spot in the Corning Museum of Glass.  If you search on youtube you can see videos of Mr. Hilton as he discusses some of his designs.
    Eric Hilton is a graduate of the Edinburg College of Fine Arts.  He was a Steuben Master designer for many years and
    also taught at several Universities in the US, Canada and Scotland.  Mr. Hilton designed many of Steuben's private commissions and racing trophies, his works are in museums around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, the Hokkaido Museum, Japan, the Musée des Arts Décoratif, Lausanne & Paris and others. This complete set would be perfect for a milestone birthday, anniversary or for your own desk or library table.
    Each Steuben Sphere/
    gem has no scratches, no damage, no nicks or chips, and no display marks to the crystal. Each is signed "Steuben" in script on the base bottom, initialed by the artist Eric Hilton and numbered 33/500.  These come individually packed in their sound condition vintage red leather velvet lined boxes with some scratching and fading of the leather.  These are authentic Steuben 10M formula glass pieces, made in USA at the Steuben factory in Corning NY.
    Each intricate orb refracts light into it's rainbow spectrum.  While these look like paperweights of varying moonscapes, each is a larger and much heavier sculpture at approx. 5lbs and more of a magnum size orb.
    These artworks measures approx. 4"- 5" in diameter with the weight and clarity that Steuben was renown for.

    Steuben Glass was the premier American glass company founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It ranked as the world's foremost artisan glass house. Handmade by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY, it was frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no "seconds," items that did not meet their exacting standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben, a recognized luxury brand and the ultimate in art glass.
