Here is a rare 1955 annual Wisconsin Dog Tag License from Dane County, #3734.  Excellent
shape!
I gently used 0000 steel wool to take off the years of grime.  I only worked on it for a minute.  Continued cleaning with steel wool "might" make it even cleaner and shinier.  This is not brass, it feels like aluminum, but I can't be sure, I honestly don't know.
