Description
1.7 Shaku Tozan Jinari Shakuhachi (432 Hz A4) D#.Well tuned 432 Hz A4 (classic asian tuning) D# instrument. Red lacquer bore and fully lacquered exterior. No surface or bore cracks. Mild voiced shaku with a traditional horn utaguchi and inlaid rattan bindings. I don't know the exact age but to make an educated guess given the binding and tozan utaguchi horn condition I'd say at least 40 years old, but I have no official heritage handed down with this instrument.
I just played it against a tuner and it was well tuned into the third octave even cold. Conical bore with a slight bend to the bore which helps soften the volume.
I'm moving abroad and can't bring all my instruments. I'm opting to bring only my lower keyed instruments since I'm initially a bass player who progressed into Asian flutes, so I have an affinity for lower keys.
It will come with a bag and packaged safely.
